Specifications

The RetroTINK-6X CE redefines what's possible in an entry-level retro gaming video processor. Built on the same 12-bit linear light pipeline as the RetroTINK-4K, it delivers native 2560x1440 output, true HDR10, energy conservation scanlines and masks, variable MPRT black frame insertion, and meticulously crafted profiles for everything from sharp pixels to full CRT simulation.

More details can be found in our announcement post.

Advisory Notices / Before You Buy

The RT6X delivers flagship-derived video processing at an exceptionally accessible price point. It is designed for enthusiasts who want to get the best possible results from original hardware and analog video. We want to help you determine whether the RT6X is the right solution for your setup, or whether another solution would better meet your needs.

The RT6X is an upscaler and video processor, not an emulator or re-rendering device. Final image quality depends on the original signal, the condition and configuration of your console, the cables used, the RT6X settings, and the capabilities of your display.

Please use the highest-quality video output supported by your console. Composite video (yellow RCA) is the lowest-quality analog video format and cannot deliver image quality comparable to S-Video, Component (YPbPr), or RGB. Most example images, videos, and built-in RT6X profiles are based on these higher-quality video connections. Before purchasing, please review the examples for your console and video connection to understand the image quality you should expect.

Before purchasing, please review the example images, videos, compatibility information, known limitations, and the RetroTINK Wiki so you understand the expected results for your equipment.

The RT6X assumes a correctly functioning console and supported AV configuration. It cannot restore detail absent from the original signal or correct problems caused by faulty or improperly configured consoles, cartridges, cables, power supplies, modifications, adapters, displays, or other third-party equipment.

Many image-quality and compatibility issues are ultimately traced to source equipment, console configuration, cables, display settings, or other components outside the RT6X.

The RT6X is intended for modern displays capable of at least 1080p. Operation below 1080p or use as a downscaler is unsupported.

RetroTINK technical support covers the RT6X itself in documented, supported configurations. It does not include diagnosing, configuring, or validating consoles, modifications, cables, displays, receivers, capture devices, or complete AV systems.

Support for modified consoles and nonstandard video outputs is not provided. Please contact your modder or the manufacturer of the modification for assistance.

Technical support is provided exclusively through the official RetroTINK Discord server. Email support is exclusively reserved for order-related matters, including shipping, returns, and warranty service.

If you are unsure whether the RT6X is the right solution for your setup, please ask on Discord before purchasing.
